She has earned an MBA specializing in Natural Resources, Energy and Environment from the University of Alberta, Brenda brings a strong analytical and systems-thinking approach to financial management.
She is adept at process improvement, risk assessment, and the implementation of innovative financial strategies, including priority-based budgeting and complex financial modeling. Her expertise includes strategic financial planning, public-sector accounting, governance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, property taxation, complex financial modelling, organizational restructuring, and technology implementation. She has led multidisciplinary teams and worked closely with boards, councils, executive teams, auditors, legal counsel, regulators, financial institutions, and community stakeholders.
